The Basement
Here’s a look into the basement of the house. Basements are incredibly common in this area. The basement will house the heating systems and such.

This is a shot from the front of the house. Currently, we only have a few of the original walls standing. You can see the adobe bricks in the corner. The form around the top will eventually be filled with concrete to give the walls stability.

Our new project is called 127 Duran. I want to add it to the construction site so people can follow the progress. A little background – we are doing this project for an architect Andrea Caraballo. She purchased property in May. The original house is an adobe house built in late 20′s or 30′s approx 1100 sq ft. We have gutted original house and are adding a second house which physically ties in to
original house. That is why you see large hole in back of house, the corner on new house ties across corner of original house. Right now we are digging and install new plumbing. I want to follow progress as a story and will try to input as much interesting information as possible. The house is in the historic district about 10 blocks west of plaza. It took Andrea 3 months to get plans through historic review and then permitting process. Eventually she will sell 1 house and live in the other.
